The Country Championships held over the October long weekend in Coffs Harbour were another wet affair, but this did not stop the competition this year, with all groups able to play through to grand final games.
Newcastle played exceptionally well, winning the Men's A division, the Men's B division and came runners up by just one run in the Women's. The Men’s B team were undefeated for the entire weekend.
Congratulations to all who participated and a very special thanks to the volunteers that took our teams away to such a successful carnival. The Scorers, EOs and coaches all did a fantastic job and achieved excellent results for Newcastle Baseball. |

The Annual Toronto Home Run Derby day will be held again this Saturday 24 September 2011. A first prize of $500 is up for grabs.
Come see some of Newcastle biggest hitters strut their stuff, potentially taking on the likes of ABL, Australian and American professional players such as Boss and Moko Moanaroa, Matt Smith and Brendan Kingman.
Prelim rounds commence 10am. A trial game between the Newcastle Rep side and the Toronto All-Stars is played at 12 noon followed by the final of the Home Run Derby.
